For students of the Bible, the story of Queen Esther is one of the more compelling accounts of the triumph of good over evil. At the height of the crisis facing the Jews after finding out that Haman had genocide on his mind, Esther's uncle Mordecai appealed to her to use her high position to try to save her people from annihilation. He concluded his appeal by asking her to consider "For such a time as this" was she elevated to the role of Queen to the most powerful ruler of his day.
May I submit to you that after the pretenders have fallen by the wayside in the Republican presidential race, there is only one candidate that can ask himself a similar question! At a time when America needs a leader with vision, conviction, and purpose, the choices on the left do not just include Obama and Clinton, but the so-called leader of the GOP race, John McCain!
After hearing for weeks that McCain is "in essence" a conservative, even a casual examination of his positions make it clear he is NOT someone to pick up and carry the Reagan mantle!
Lacking enough sense to permit the media to crown the next GOP Presidential nominee, Mike Huckabee continues to fight the good fight of faith. Not just a faith in the God he unapologetically serves, but faith in the future of this country if her people will consider their choices carefully and select the right man for the position. America badly needs the integrity and character Huckabee brings to the table, something sadly lacking in politicians these days.
Go Mike...for the sake of us all, DON'T QUIT !
